This is how Christmas travelled home with me ✨

Dear keeper of tiny wonders and Christmas cheer,

Every December, my studio starts to feel a little different.

A little warmer.
A little brighter.
A little more like the season that wraps us in joy.

And this always takes me back to the Christmas markets I wandered through during my travels… across winters and countries.

A snowy corner of Sweden.
A tiny stall in an old Nordic town.
A fairy-tale village in Austria (the one Frozen borrowed its dreams from).
Or Santa Claus Village in Lapland, where Christmas comes alive in the crisp winter air.

Those markets were full of tiny treasures…
hand-carved wooden reindeers, tiny woollen Santas, miniature wreaths, bells that filled the air with music.
And I remember Arya’s eyes lighting up at each little find, the way only a child’s eyes can glow during Christmas.

I picked them up one by one.
Not with a plan.
Not thinking of photo shoots.
Just gathering joy.
Gathering memories.
Gathering a little bit of Christmas to bring home.

And slowly… quietly… those little bits of Europe found their way into my studio.
Onto my shelves.
Into my prop baskets.
Into the tiny hands of the babies I photograph.

And every time a little one reaches out for a star that once sat in a Finnish winter,
or a jingle bell that once rang in a Parisian Christmas lane,
or a wooden reindeer that travelled across an Austrian postcard town…
something inside me lights up again.

Because those memories, my memories with my daughter,
now help create your memories with your little one.
And that feels like the most magical kind of circle.

There are parents who’ve come to me for Christmas shoots five years in a row.
Parents who mark December not by calendars
but by the moment their little one puts on the tiny Santa hat in my studio.
Parents who tell me their children wait for “Suchanda Aunty’s Christmas photos” all year long.

You are my people.
And thank you for letting me share pieces of my joy, my journeys, my little treasures…
with your little ones.

As Christmas tiptoes into Calcutta again, with warm drinks and warmer memories,
I hope your days fill with moments so sweet you’ll want to visit them again…
moments that become the return tickets your family keeps forever.

With a suitcase full of Christmas joy,

Suchanda

Hi, I’m Suchanda, the ♥️ behind Niddledy Noddledy 📸
A cuddly moment from Disneyland Paris… where a little bit of Christmas magic quietly tucked itself into our suitcase.

As a mother myself, I understand how quickly the precious moments of life slip by—from the quiet anticipation of maternity to the joyful chaos of childhood. For many years, I’ve had the privilege of photographing families, capturing the giggles, the mischief, and those tender moments that make your journey so special.

My sessions are designed to create a relaxed, joyful environment where expectant mothers, little ones, and even the not-so-little ones feel free to laugh, play, and just be themselves. Whether it’s the serene glow of motherhood, a cheeky toddler grin, or the way your baby holds your hand, I’m here to preserve the details you’ll treasure forever.
